Petro-Chemical-Free

Almost every man-made thing in American Society today is made with Petroleum Byproducts, i.e. Petro-Chemicals. Getting rid of Petro-Chemicals in your life may be an impossibility, but there are plenty of things you can do to start.

Three Ways to Get Rid of Petrochemicals in your Life:
1) Go Organic – Eat and Wear only Organic products
2) Use less gasoline. Walk, Bike (like I’m one to talk), use a more fuel-efficient vehicle, or share the ride – bus, van, car-pool, plane.
3) Get rid of as much plastic as possible in your life:
Use biodegradeable bags. These are usually made from corn, and will even compost.
Reuse plastic, paper, or better yet organic cotton, hemp, or jute bags. Or cardboard boxes.
Use aluminum foil, rather than plastic wrap. Use glass jars, rather than plastic storage containers.
Be on the lookout for these and other innovations: Plastic made from hemp; Food-based food wrap; Poly-lactide packaging material (made from milk).
